I'll agree the packaging wasn't ideal, but within a few minutes I ended up with crystal clear shots with this lens on my D300 using a 105 mm macro lens.

Don't waste your Munny on this item.

First of all, when I recieved this item, it was in a small paper box with an Anti-shaken plastic rolled over the Lens. Nothing more than the Lens and that plastic cover, and I though that I would get at least a protect bag for the lens so I can save it if I am not using it.Second thing, I mounted this Lens on my Nikkor 105mm F/2.8 and start shooting some realy bad shots with my Nikon D300S camera. In the beginning I thought that the reason why I got the bad shots was becuz I have FX Lens with the 10x Close-up and Standard Frame Camera. So, I said why don't I use my friend camera D3S, But the Result was almost the same.Things that I have encountered:1- It's so damn hard to focus using this 10x closeup lens.2- I should be super close to the subject to shoot it, it means if I want to shoot an Insect. Then Insect should be dead or not moving at all to get the right Focus.3- The photo is Blur and not sharp.
