I bought this lens about 1 year ago and i found it to be one of the sharpest lenses that I have ever owned.It really is a joy to use.The lens has no lens creep at all and the zoom ring is firm and solid to turn.It stays put wherever you set it.The autofocus works fast and accurate too.I am very pleased with this lens and it is a real keeper.I give it 5 stars.Sigma did a great job combining 28mm wide angle and a 200mm telephoto in one terrific lens.This is the lens that I have on my Sony Alpha A230 all of the time.When you have it all in one lens, you don't risk the dust infiltration that occurs when you have to swap lenses all the time.Get this all in one lens and save yourself some trouble.
