The lens is a Vivitar Series 1; it's inexpensive both because its aperture is not adjustable and because it uses an adapter to mount to the camera body.Only f8 is available; increased-density filters are included in case the light is too bright for the camera to compensate with ISO and/or shutter speed.Use of the adapter works because there's no need for the camera to adjust the aperture, and the focus is manual too.Because of the adapter, my lens doesn't look "right side up" on the camera; but for a quality telephoto image at a fantastically low price I'm very happy.
