So I ordered this little Fisheye Adapter just for fun and experimenting. I searched on Amazon for the lowest priced fisheye with Amazon Prime eligibility and to my efforts this is what came up, the Zykkor Titanium Super Wide Angle Fisheye with Macro. It really is made in Japan and it spews quality for something around 22 bucks. IT is pretty hefty in weight and is VERY simple to use, just screw it on like a UV filter and you are good to go! I'm only using it on my back up camera with the stock Nikon 18-55mm lens. From the zoom ranges of 18mm up to about 35mm the corners are cut off and you really get the circular fisheye effect. Once you zoom up to about 55mm, it just looks like an abnormally distorted lens. There is some sort of anti-reflective coating on the glass, but it won't win any awards. There is color fringing, and you do lose sharpness, but nothing too noticeable unless you pixel peep. This adapter comes in just one piece out of the box but look closely you actually get a Macro "filter" out of this purchase also, simply just screw the part that has "MACRO" printed in red off like a filter and viola! Again attached to my back up camera and 18-55mm lens, it'll effectively allow me to get about half in inch to a subject. For reference, I focused on a Late 2011 MacBook Pro LED Display and I could see individual pixels.I would HIGHLY recommend this for those who are just experimenting, or really want a fisheye lens but could not afford one at the moment. But I do have one complaint, the adapter has a threaded ring to allow the use of a filter, but that ring itself moves on the barrel of the adapter, it doesn't rattle and anything like that but it does annoy me. It also comes with a nifty little nifty carrying bag made of synthetic leather, not padded, but cool I guess.
