Product Description
Polaroid Auto Focus DG Macro Extension Tubes are designed to enable your lens to focus closer than its normal set minimum focusing distance, this way you can magnify your subject. The tubes are very useful for macro photography. The extension tubes have no glass. The Extension tubes are attached between the camera body and the lens. This set consists of three tubes, the tubes may be used singly or in combination with one another for a total of seven different lengths. Each tube is provided with a mounting bayonet and electrical contacts which match those of your particular camera choice. The contacts allow the camera's lens to respond to its automatic exposure system giving you a perfect exposure each time.

Fine with my Canon T4i
By PaulMcCarl
I bought these to use with my Canon EOS REBEL T4i 18.0 MP CMOS Digital Camera with 18-135mm EF-S IS STM Lens and it does the trick just fine. I use a prime lens: Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Camera Lens. This gives me great macro capabilities without spending $500+ on a short macro lens. Autofocus and metering worked just fine.

Gets the job done
By Kirk Lawler
This is my second set of these Polaroid tubes: I use one with a Nikon D7000 in the field and one with a Canon 5DMII in the studio for macro work. They are well made and, unlike some off-brand versions, are easy to take off. Highly recommended.

Solid, reaonably priced AF capable tubes
By E. Raie
Wasn't quite ready to dish out for a dedicated and pricy macro lens (for my T3i), so after some consideration of other various options, I opted for a set of extension tubes. The Kenko's seem to be the creme de la creme, but they also came with a hefty $200 price. I came across these Polaroid tubes, and decided to take a chance - being less than 1/2 the cost of Kenko, and having some decent reviews on various photog sites.Quite satisfied with the build quality on all 3 tubes - the bayonet, release mechanism and mating ring are made of metal, and fit the camera & lens quite snugly...I would not worry about the lens falling off as with some cheaply made eBay offerings. When locked down, there is no play anywhere - everything fits nice & tight. The electrical contacts are solid, no communication issues with the lens. The contacts are what set this apart from non-contact tubes (including the higher price), but well worth it if you're like me and want to maintain TTL metering & control. As with any tube, AF is very slow to lock in lower light situations, I use MF when needed.Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase, and consider these to be an economical alternative to Kenko, while still getting a solid & well built product. Nothing against Kenko, but considering these are just tubes, I find their price over the top.
