Great conversion fisheye for the money

I got the lens from 47th Street Photo, great experience working with them as a store first off, their staff is very helpful and know what they are talking about. I got the lens in the skaters kit and it got here very fast with normal shipping.I put a couple of quick sample pics up here right out of the box for people to see.Keep in mind this is a 'conversion' lens for your camera, it does not mount right on the camera body.The lens is very heavy, this is a big piece of glass.I first put it on my Canon T1i with the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Camera Lens using the included 58 to 52mm adapter ring but I could not focus the the camera using this lens, it just didn't have enough room in the focus ring to pull back enough to get it in focus. I'm a nooby at photography so I'm sure there is a good explanation for this.I then put it on my stock kit 55mm lens my T1i (EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6); I could focus well with this setup just fine, very crisp images.Keep in mind as this is a conversion lens you will get a lot of Barrel/Vignetting , in fact it is pretty extreme as you can see in my shots.The edges distort a little too but again, expected in conversion lens. The overall quality is good though.The lens is very heavy and is going to put a lot of weight on the attached lens so you have to hold the camera with two hands one supporting the lens at all times. I tried filming with the lens and it had the same results as the photos obviously and with this lenses weight it makes it difficult to film. If you are buying this primarily for filming with a DSLR, don't do it.Overall a very nice conversion lens for extreme fisheye effect, very clear optics and well made. Fits well on all threads even using the included adapter rings. I think after looking at the Opteka 6.5mm 'Real' Fisheye lens (actually attaches to the camera body) I would have waited to save up for it at $299.00, much better clarity and the vignetting is not apparent at all.
