Maybe better than nothing, but if so, not by much

This adapter is fine if you're just using your camera and lens as a telescope, but for photos at even a moderate distance the image quality is terrible. I use a Nikon D90, have tried this with a variety of lenses, and am dissatisfied with the image quality in all of them. I don't mind the autofocus issues, that's to be expected, and the rather cheap, plastic feel of this product I can accept, as I can accept the jingling of loose, sloppily assembled parts (although the latter should not happen with a $250 dollar product).What I cannot accept is the extremely poor image quality. Edges are soft and fuzzy, color bleed is strong, and colors are washed out looking. For wildlife photography it's inadequate.I've heard that the 1.5 is as better product. Maybe it is, but I do not recommend the 2x.What it is excellent for is in a Frankenstein assembly of adapters and eyepieces I've attached to an old Meade 1000mm F/11 spotting scope, but not for taking photos. Used as an a focal length doubler for a spotting scope it's excellent. Too expensive to buy for just that purpose though.
