Hours of fun for 50 bucks.

I can't go without a fisheye and I cant afford a true fisheye lens, and so this is a perfect solution. I just upgraded my digital SLR camera to the Nikon D7000 and had to get rid of all my old lenses and filters. I decided to go with this fisheye and I am happy I did. I think all photographers should use a fisheye from time to time just for kicks. It is so much fun to toy around with. The quality isn't AMAZING, but for the price it is perfect. I rated the "Lens Quality" lower only because the edges get a bit out of focus and the color does tend to split, but again, this is just a quick filter and it gets the job done without spending 900 bucks. I was worried that it wouldnt be as good as my last fisheye filter (different brand name) but it is as good and better. So fun.

Inexpensive and still not worth it

The lens had no noticeable fisheye affect unless literally in your subjects face, which in my work means being lens to dog nose. Even when I tested it on more cooperative subjects - adult humans, inanimate objects - while I did get the described wide angle, still no fisheye distortion that created any interest. I'm a professional photographer and have worked with many adapters, but this one seemed to do nothing but add weight to my camera. If you want a real fisheye affect, go for the lensbaby which Amazon now sells, or if you want to go old school, I recommend the Lomography fisheye 35mm film camera I purchased here.
