Before to buy this lens for my FZ 40, I was searching on the internet for pictures made with this kind of lens. What I found, was very nice and that was a reason to buy this. I haven`t tryed yet this lens outdoor but I can tell you that you have to have natural light to use this lens properly. You don`t need to buy the adapter because lens come with it. The lens fits perfect with the adapter which is well made (metal). I also bought Opteka filters for my camera and they are great. Notice that the macro lens which came with filters, as a gift, works well but the quality is not so good such as this lens. I hope this review helps! by Melku`, Buzau, Romania
