Product Description
If you need more lenses than your budget allows, Polaroid conversion lenses represent a cost effective and intelligent alternative
Because our DNA is optics and lenses (as in Polarizing filters) our conversion lenses are precision engineered and multi-coated to provide flawless results regardless if you use them with your camera, camcorder or even HD-Video capable DSLR.
The best part is that while using them is as easy as mounting them to your existing fixed or zoom lens, the results are nothing short of breathtaking.
Case in point our Wide Angle and Fisheye converters give your lens a full panoramic perspective without any loss of detail plus their built-in macro-feature lets you "convert our convertors" to an 'up close and personal' macro lens by simply removing a lens ring.
Need a long telephoto lens but don't want to deal with the expense (or the weight)? Just add one of our telephoto lenses to your lens and double, triple or quadruple your lenses focal length-or lengths (if you're using a zoom lens!)
In short, if you want the flexibility of multiple telephoto, wide and fisheye lenses without the expense or the inconvenience of having to carry them, put Polaroid conversion lenses in the picture

By Eagle Baurer
I attach this Polaroid Fisheye lens primarily to the kit lens of my Sony a65 camera. I had to purchase a 55 to 58 step-up adapter to use with my existing lens, but that was only 3 dollars. I have to say, this fisheye lens is very solid and seems to be made completely out of metal and glass. Very rugged, plus you get a soft case.It is a very fun attachment to use, at a very affordable price. Just screw it on to the front of your lens and you are all set for some ultra wide-angle / fisheye shots.Note: You'll definitely get vignetting on most lenses, especially wide angle lenses, which is why I like to hook this attachment up to my kit lens, as I I can crop or zoom the size of the fisheye accordingly. This isn't the sharpest lens and it's lens flare-prone. Furthermore, the weight is so much heavier than my Sony plastic kit lens that the zoom / focusing often gets stuck, while zooming. However, this isn't the biggest problem, just require some finesse and patience, especially if you just use this lens for novelty shots. So on that note, this Polaroid is very enjoyable. I'm grateful I have it and I'll definitely be using it extensively with the video setting on my camera.Glad to see Polaroid still making stuff, given they no longer produce their legendary instant cameras.

Ok, maybe some people don't know what they are getting here. This is a screw on adapter that will make your current lens show a wider apparent FOV (Field of View). It does this by distorting light and compressing a wide field into a smaller area. Since different areas of the focal plane will have longer and shorter paths, sharpness in the corners will be affect, as well as light coverage. Is it ever going to give you as good an image as a true super wide angle lens that was designed as a prime lens for your camera model? NO. Does it cost $1300? NO.You should try this with different lenses. The quality of the image is greatly affected by the lens beneath it and the f-stop you are shooting at. It is a fun addition to your camera bag. Experiment to find out which lens in your bag will work best with this add on in various situations.I have had lots of fun with it and use it regularly when shooting videos where I need a wider FOV than my current options give me. I use it on a Canon EOS REBEL T4i 18.0 MP CMOS Digital Camera with 18-135mm EF-S IS STM Lenswith several different lenses and have been very happy with this lens add-on.

First off, I am not a professional photographer so I was fairly open minded in regards to this lens. It was not very expensive so I was not expecting it to be fabulous, but it still fell short. I am not sure how much use I will get out of this. I tried it with different lenses on my Canon Digital Rebel T3i and it definitely only gives a dramatic fisheye effect on zoom lenses (not my 50mm). And, you must zoom all the way out to get the effect as well, which starts showing the black edges of the lens. Now those are just observations and not really my problem with the lens. I was enjoying taking shots of old trees and landscapes but when I got home and looked at my images full screen, I was not happy. The distortion really affects the quality of the shots, blurring them and making them look low resolution. A small area of the image remains in focus. I think a digital fisheye effect could possibly garner better results, although I have not tried that to test my theory. If you are going to just play around and put the images on Facebook for your friends, maybe this lens will do. However, if you want to take quality or print worthy photos, pass on this.
