According to the description on the web page, the lens offers a circular image for an APS-C and (!) Full Frame sensor, with two lens caps. A 8mm lens for under $300 !The (2 day) prime delivery took six days. The lens did arrive in a non-descript white box, no indication on the actual manufacturer, with a photocopy of an one page 'manual', one lens cap only, a manual focus lens, not very smooth to focus. The images on the APC-S sensor turned out to be rectangular, 'fisheye' like, similar to a 10mm lens. The images on the full frame sensor turned out to rectangular too, dark framed by the shape of the lens hood, similar to a giant pillow effect.There is no indication that this lens is manufactured by 'THE' Polaroid company. Several other web sites offer this 'Polaroid Studio Series Ultra Wide Angle 8mm f/3.5 Circular Fisheye Lens' too, description and price being almost the same. Apparently none of the sites verify the actual function of this lens. Plus, there is no indication that it is a genuine Polaroid US lens but manufactured in China (according to the 'manual').The interaction with DB Roth was disappointing. They never acknowledged the wrong description or gap to the advertised product feature (circular image), offered a return only for a 10% restocking fee, and the return shipment fees at my expense. I filed a claim with Amazon's A-Z Guarantee and was reimbursed within two weeks. Except I am still out on the return shipment fees.If it sounds too good to be true ... it probably is.Update 11/5/12 : Based on my feedback, DB Roth contacted me to apologize and reimbursed the return shipment fees. Three stars for their effort, zero stars for DB Roth and Amazon since they still have the wrong product description on their respective web pages. The lens does not produce a circular image on a full frame or an APS-C sensor.
