This lens works perfectly with my Kodak Z612 - I didn't notice any problems with the auto focus or flash...I used it with both and the pictures were great, the clarity was amazing and I am so happy I can finally get super close, very clear macro images. You do have to experiment with it a little to get use to it, and you do have to zoom past the tunnel that the adapter ring creates, but this lens is worth every penny.

I'm a macro photography buff. I love getting in close to flowers, insects, and other natural objects.This lens is great. I can get closer than ever before. While I find the Auto Focus doesn't work, and the lighting seems horrible (don't even try with flash); those are limitations of the camera, not this lense.So, just make sure you have good natural (or external non-camera light) and that you manually focus, and you'll be amazed by the photos you can take.

If you're interested in expanding your macro capabilities (I'm using a Kodak Z812 is), this inexpensive, screw on, addition is a marvel (if your deal doesn't include it, you'll need a 58mm adapter)of accuracy and clarity. Yes, there's a tunnel which, if you don't want circular photos (though there is interest there, and an expanded depth of field - how much is in focus), you can zoom beyond. This lens is designed for auto-focus, and it works just fine, though you might find it best to lock in focus at different places to be sure of capturing the details you want. Stunning photos are the result.
