I've bought this item for my Nikon 18-200 VRII which has 72mm diameter,i also wanted to get another kit for my 35mm which has 52 mm diameter,the result for the 18-200 was not satisfying much, as the lens become so much heavy when you install the 2.2 x adapter, and second you will get a black circle when you are not zooming, even when you try to zoom, the zoom ring hardly move because of the weight of the adapter,an amazing thing I've figured, to save money, instead of buying 2 kits, 1 for the 72mm and another for 52mm, i bought this adapter (Step Up Ring 52-72mm Lens Filter Size Adapter ), when i installed the adapter on the 52 mm and installed the wide and zoom adapter, the result was shocking, very smooth images, no black circles on the corners, the wide area on the lens has been expanded very fair.I've shared a sample images on both lenses to see the results,i recommend that you buy a bigger telephoto adapter if you have 72mm lens, and get the setup ring to do the rest of the correction Job, this process will save many dollars.Update - very important.Don't use the Auto Focus on the Nikon 18-200 while the adapter is installed, there is a possibility that you might destroy the auto focusing elements in the lens.
