Results after a non-extensive fun test this past weekend are... Wow! Cons: --Manual focus --Razor thin depth of field (no fault of the lens I assume) --Potentially bad bokeh due to the mirrors (Mmm Donuts...) --You'll need a mono- or tripod to raise your keeper rate --On a bright day, you'll probably need an ND filter because of the fixed aperture --95 mm filter size will make for pricey filters --I wish the focusing "grease" was a tad thicker (personal preference) Pros: --Considering the price, it's a LOT of lens - 5 star bang for the buck --With Oly's 2x crop, we're looking at a 1000 f/6.3 --Edge sharpness seems great, probably thanks again to the 2x crop --Thanks to the in body stabilization on my E620... It's image stabilized --Very compact and light - not a helluva lot bigger than the 12-60 or 7-14 --Works with the EC14 (1.4X) to make a 1400 f/8! Final thoughts: --If you ever want to "reach out and image someone" - this is your lens, for peanuts. Yes, it's not perfect but jeesh if you want autofocus and anything near 1000 f/6.3 you are going to spend a bunch of money. Oh, and you are going to have to sling it on your back.
