Focusing ring doesn't make a difference?

I bought this fisheye to use with an Nikon D300 .I've being using this lens for just a week now and the pictures show good quality so far. I didn't try it in a great variety of light situations but I'll update this review when I try it harder.The only cons is an apparently non working focus ring, what should be a very serious defect if it wouldn't make any difference in the image focus/quality.I can imagine that occurs due to the extreme depth of field the lens has, everything is allways focused,but I'm really wondering wheter this is a malfunction or not.So please I'd like to hear from anybody who has ever experienced a similar situation with a fisheye lenses.TksEsther

cheap build up but exceptional image!

When I opened the box and saw the lens...well, I can't believe this kind of cheap thing cost me 200+ dollars. The focus ring is so cheap that it's like a toy. At that time, I regret to buy it.But thing changed when I tested it on field. The image is so good with super high resolution! I am surprised about its resolution at really small aperture. In addition, this lens give sharp image and sharp seems not depends on aperture much.Of course, it is not a perfect lens. It give so so image when light is insufficient. Besides, Nikon camera may has a little problem to do white balance automatically on this lens. However, for such low price. This lens is good enough!
