Cheaper alternative to buying a DSLR

I bought this for mainly for the wide angle lenses, but the accessories give it a lot of value for the buck. The flimsy, lightweight tripod is compact & great for traveling.The lenses are also close up lenses: just screw off the front.Disadvantages:The adapter screws into the bottom of the camera, but my camera is a little too small, so they provide an extension for between the camera and the mount. This complicates lining up the lenses, and makes it bulkier.Lens alignment is a problem, because if it is slightly off center, the image will be cropped by the adapter.You get what you pay for, but with a little care & patience, these do a good job.
